He really is. I didn’t realize just how good until I realized how much his basic attacks do when the opponent is incinerated. Really underrated champ. Gets around crits, non contact attacks, best power manipulation in the game. Absolutely incredible and beyond god tier when he has sigs cause of extra crit damage.

Draining to 0 after a special and then power locked for a bit is pretty decent, but agree it's a far cry from best in the game.

Serpent’s mostly a defender, I don’t really count that. Good on offence for sure, but not close to Prowler, Nefaria or Bill

No, he completely drains their power no matter special attack. Either you are bringing them to 0 power, faltering their special, or taunting them for an easy bait

How important is his Signature ability? I was under the impression that it was pretty important so my 7* is waiting at R1 until I can awaken him before I do something with him

I just got him from the realm event titan. I didnt really test him before but now looks like i have to try him as a 7* and see for myself.

He's my favourite tech actually not because he's the best of his class or anything I just like the champ
That's not to say he isn't a good champ
He's a sinister counter, a bullseye counter, pretty good for spider verse champs, has a great safety net with falter, and he can do a multitude of matchups since his main damage form is rupture

Don't throw a heavy against incinerate immune champs. His main damage comes from rupture actually. At max sig he would be insane

One thing I hate is how his sig scales. He has pretty great damage awakened, but the sig scales like she*t. The first 150 sigs really does nothing but the last 50 sigs makes his damage three times better.

Just remember diminishing returns on that crit rate bonus. It actually scales quite linearly when you factor that in

If you've got a Sentinel relic @Jethua then rank it up for him and use the Incinerate Pause ability - it'll dramatically increase the uptime on his Incinerate, and maintain his damage better.

He absolutely doesn't need to be Awakened, PantherusNZ

It's going to increase his average damage a fair bit, but only in bursts when the opponent is Faltered; so the ideal strategy is to use it to make his SP2 damage stronger and more reliable.

However, there's an immovable damage ceiling on this increased damage, which is his intrinsic limit of applying one Rupture per hit: Awakening means that he'll more reliably approach this ceiling, but can't get him past it.

The Sentinel relic probably does more to maintain his damage (over the course of a fight) than being Awakened does.

No. Sentinel relic had an ability to pause incinerate. 4* nd above relic have this ability

4 star sentinel relic or higher has the incinerate pause. If you have higher you can get some straight up extra duration in addition to the pause as well.
