What’s going on, my loyal Summoners of the Battlerealm?

It’s me, Mojo, your BIGGEST STAR, and I’m here to introduce you to my latest superstar and right hand woman – SPIRAL! Grab your popcorn and get comfy because things are about to get wiiiild! Let’s break down exactly why Spiral is must-see Battle Realm TV and how she can help YOU rack up those juicy, juicy Champion ratings as you make your way through the Contest.

Origins:

Spiral’s origin is pure soap opera GOLD! Once upon a time, Spiral was known as Rita Wayword, a puny Human stuntwoman from Earth who got entangled in the craziest of plots. She was captured by the villainous Mojo (that’s ME in her universe, of course!) and warped beyond recognition. Through brainwashing, painful augmentation, and mystical training in the dark arts, Rita transformed into Spiral, a twisted version of her former self, now loyal to her Mojo-verse overlord (aka, yours truly).

But here's the kicker – Spiral was forced to travel back in time to capture her own past self, sealing her tragic fate and giving her that chaotic edge. Spiral is as complex as they come: torn between vengeance, her own lost humanity, and her loyalty to Mojo! She's become one of the most feared combatants in the Battle Realm, bringing with her a unique blend of magic and martial arts that’s downright cinematic.

Animations:

Let’s get to the GOOD stuff – Spiral’s animations! Every time she steps into the arena, Spiral brings her Mojo-infused energy, throwing down mystical effects and sharp blades. Each movement is filled with elegance and menace, making her an absolute spectacle to watch! Spiral’s basic attacks showcase her six arms in fluid, precise strikes, blending martial arts and weapon mastery with supernatural flair. Her attacks are fast, stylish, and relentless, with a hint of that Mojo magic every time she lands a blow! Her special attacks are quite marvelous, involving both her weapons and her magical abilities.

Her Special 1 sees her spinning around with her blades and finally shooting an energy blast at her opponent. Her Special 2 sees her unleashing her magic blasts at her opponent from both her hands. Her Special 3 utilizes a portal as she teleports above her opponent, striking them as she then unleashes all her energy in a singular blast, turning her opponent into nothing more than Rubble.

Damage:

Ahhh, let's talk about Spiral’s ratings-crushing damage output! Her Rupture debuffs are her bread and butter, stacking up damage over time like a slow-burn plot twist! Each weapon hit has a chance to apply Rupture, and every buff on her opponent boosts her Rupture potency by 10%! To properly build up those Ruptures, you’ll want to start stacking Fervors early. As a skilled stuntwoman and dancer, Spiral’s agility is central to her fighting style, and it shows in her ability to perform an impressive range of actions with precision. By constantly switching between light, medium, heavy attacks, dodging, and blocking, Spiral can build up Fervors while maintaining pressure on her opponent. Each new action not only fuels her Ruptures but also boosts her survivability by stacking resistances. This agility-focused playstyle makes Spiral a thrilling performer who can keep her combos unpredictable and her damage rolling in! Against buff-heavy champs, this is an unstoppable stream of ticking damage! Add in her Special 2 with a solid stack of Ruptures and Fervors, and Spiral’s attack spikes to absurd levels, dishing out big Yellow Numbers as well as lots of Physical rupture damage. And when she’s ramped up with those Fervors, her Special 3 hits even harder, focusing on sheer attack power instead of Ruptures. All of this means that Spiral is primed to melt down her opponents with a blend of steady damage over time and massive bursts – all while shredding their buffs. Now that's what I call a blockbuster!

Utility:

So, Spiral is not just any old Mystic powerhouse who only deals damage – she’s my six-armed, spell-casting queen with more tricks than even I can count! First of all, she’s immune to falter, which means no whiffing in the middle of my action-packed shows (Sorry Prowler and Ebony Maw) And, for those who like a little bit of drama, she’s got a 100% increased ability accuracy on stuns! That’s right – if she wants you stunned, you better believe you’re gonna be stunned! This is a perfect counter to some nasty Defenders in the contest who punish your Parry stuns, including the infamous HYDRA leader Red Skull. While most champions struggle against Red Skull due to not being able to consistently Stun him, Spiral's consistent stun application can bypass his armor-based stun resistance and keep him locked down, allowing you to dish out damage without worrying about getting punished for parrying. It’s like a match made in Battle Realm heaven—her mystical abilities give her the edge in those tense fights!

And remember I said that she gains +600% Ability accuracy to her damaging effects via her Fervors? With Spiral’s +600% ability accuracy to her damaging effects, she can easily bypass annoying mechanics like Glancing that typically frustrate other champions. Glancing can make damage unreliable by reducing damage by 50% as well as offensive Ability Accuracy by 100%. This can be a major hindrance for many champions, but Spiral's additional Ability ensures that even with Glancing active, her abilities will still land effectively. It’s another layer of power for her toolkit, ensuring that her damage keeps flowing smoothly—even against defenders who rely on Glancing to protect themselves, for ex: Storm Pyramid X and the mighty Maestro. It’s just another reason why Spiral is a force to be reckoned with!

Spiral can also completely neutralize some of the most troublesome buffs in the game. When blocking, she has a 100% chance to destroy annoying Fury, Precision, Immortality, Indestructible and Death Immunity buffs, all commonly found in powerful Cosmic and buffed defenders such as Hercules the Olympian and the God of Fear, Serpent. Instead of these buffs giving her opponent an edge, Spiral replaces them with Rubble Buffs that last 45 seconds! This means Spiral is your best friend when dealing with those unblockable, death immunity, and Fury buffs, as she can break down those abilities with a simple block.
Speaking of power, Spiral is a master of power manipulation. Whenever she inflicts a rupture debuff, she power steals 1% of the opponent’s max power. If the opponent has a power gain buff, this becomes 3%. That means Spiral can keep her opponent’s power under control, especially when facing those tricky power gain champions like Hyperion or again, The Serpent, and ensure they never reach their maximum power.

Dancing Blades: The Mojo-Approved Showstopper!

You want drama? You want excitement? You want to keep the viewers at the edge of their seats? Then Dancing Blades is your ticket to box office gold! Spiral doesn’t just hit her opponents – she puts on a dazzling performance that packs some serious power. Let's break down what makes these blades so special!

What Are Dancing Blades?

Dancing Blades is a special mechanic tied to Spiral’s Special Attacks 1 and 2. When she uses either of these specials, she summons dancing blades that swirl around her for 10 seconds per bar of power spent! But don’t let the fancy name fool you – this isn’t just a flashy display of swordsmanship. No, no, no. These blades wreck opponents in style. First off, they can be fired as a projectile simply by swiping up while holding block or if the opponent lands two light attacks in a row, making them a surprise attack that can catch your opponent off guard. If the blades strike the opponent, it triggers a stun and applies a 20% vulnerability debuff for 10 seconds, allowing you to land longer combos. On top of that, while the blades are active, Spiral is untouchable when dodging back against non-science opponents, and any precision gained from Dexterity Mastery is granted to her opponent, throwing a little extra drama into the fight. This is perfect for a certain Cosmic champion who turns off your Dexterity. With Spiral’s Dancing Blades, every fight becomes a performance, mixing damage, utility, and a dash of showmanship, leaving her opponents helpless while she slaughters them. Now that’s a blockbuster move, folks!

Mojoverse Stuntwoman (Signature Ability)

Ah, Spiral’s Signature Ability—now that’s a real crowd-pleaser! When Spiral is awakened, her signature ability is called “Mojoverse Stuntwoman”. Not the best name but it fits her very nicely. When Spiral’s Dancing Blades are active, she regenerates up to 60% of the damage taken from blocked hits. This means that while she’s dancing around, dealing damage, and controlling the fight, she also has the ability to recover some of the damage she might take while blocking enemy attacks. Additionally, for each Fervor stack Spiral has, the duration of incoming shock, poison, and incinerate debuffs are reduced by up to 10%. This is a huge bonus, making Spiral more resilient against some of the more common debuffs in the game. In essence, her signature ability gives her regen and debuff resistance, adding a much-needed layer of defensive utility that complements her already impressive offensive toolkit. It's a true spectacle in the Contest, making her a force that’s hard to take down when her blades are at their peak! Overall, while Spiral doesn’t necessarily need this ability to take down her foes, it does make her a more effective combatant

Best Matchups and uses

Ah, time to talk matchups, Summoners! Spiral is no slouch, and her kit offers a variety of tools that make her ideal for taking down certain champions in the Contest.

1. The Serpent, God of Fear.
Spiral was designed to hard counter Serpent, largely due to her buff destruction mechanic. Serpent starts each fight with a large potency Fury, which Spiral can destroy at the beginning of the match. She also gains a huge advantage by power stealing if Serpent has any power gain buffs, meaning she can keep him in check and prevent him from launching his specials too freely. With her Dancing Blades providing her with reliable stuns, Spiral can also keep him locked down, preventing his dangerous damage output. This also allows her to reliably dodge Serpent’s specials even if they are undexable as the blades replace her Dexterity Mastery. And don’t forget, when Serpent triggers his Death Immunity, Spiral can either use her Dancing blades or she can block to destroy it

2. Maestro
Maestro is an annoying defender due to his Glancing buff which triggers at 10 Neutronium. But Spiral’s Fervor passives allow her to bypass such effects allowing her to inflict her Ruptures. And if the Dancing Blades stun Maestro, she can keep the pressure on without having to worry about Glancing resetting or negating her progress. Similar to Maestro, Sersi can also trigger a Glancing buff but Spiral can bypass it as well.

3. Red Skull:
As mentioned above, Red Skull can be tricky, with his armor stacking and ability to reduce stuns. However, Spiral’s stun accuracy is not affected by Red Skull’s armor due to her 100% ability accuracy to stun effects. This means Spiral can stun Red Skull reliably (even with his Autoblock active, and Dancing Blades will trigger a stun with each hit, keeping him locked down. Her ruptures also deal damage over time, which is particularly effective against Red Skull, as it bypasses his armor and continues to rack up damage.

4. Hyperion
Hyperion’s power gain buffs make him a prime target for Spiral. As he ramps up his power, Spiral’s can consistently Power steal him and keep his power in check, making her a great counter.

5. Opponents with low, no or negative Physical Resistance
Rupture debuffs deal Physical damage. When facing champions without physical resistance, Spiral can tear through them quickly with her physical damage from normal attacks and her ruptures. Her physical and energy resistance stacking through fervor passives can help mitigate incoming damage

6. Buff Heavy Champions
Spiral thrives against any champion who relies on buffs to power up. Spiral’s ability to destroy buffs and increase her rupture potency for every buff the opponent has makes her a great counter to anyone with tons of buffs. While other champions might struggle with Hercules’ immortality or Gorr’s Shadow Magic buffs, Spiral turns those into opportunities to deal massive rupture damage.

7. Mystic Champions
While Spiral does rely on a lot of Debuffs, she personally doesn’t generate Buffs besides the Dexterity mastery, meaning she won’t trigger annoying magical abilities very often like Mystic Dispersion or Nullify. Plus many Mystics like Destroyer, Wiccan and Sorcerer Supreme are vulnerable to physical damage like Rupture. Even myself, Mojo isn’t safe from Physical damage, so watch out.

Weaknesses:
Ah, now we’re getting into the real drama, where the stakes get high and even a star like Spiral has her vulnerabilities! While Spiral’s offensive power is hard to match, she does have a few weaknesses that you’ll need to be aware of when facing off against certain champions. Let’s break it down:

1. Unstoppable and Evade

Spiral's fervor mechanic relies on alternating her combos to stack up fervors, which in turn fuel her ruptures. If the opponent has Unstoppable or an Evade mechanic, this becomes problematic. Unstoppable champions like can push through her combos and disrupt the timing needed to stack fervors. Similarly, champions with Evade, like Spider-Man, Nightcrawler and Spider Gwen can evade Spiral's attacks, meaning she can't hit them and build fervor stacks as efficiently. This interrupts her ability to ramp up damage and power control, making these opponents harder to deal with for Spiral.

2. Debuff Immunity/Purify

Spiral heavily relies on her rupture debuffs to deal most of her damage over time. If the opponent has Purify or is immune to debuffs, such as Korg and other Skill champions, her primary damage source is significantly weakened. The ruptures won’t stick, meaning Spiral will have to rely on her regular attacks and special damage, which might not be enough against tanky or debuff-immune opponents. This weakness requires you to be strategic with debuff-heavy opponents or look for opportunities to avoid being reliant on ruptures.

3. Physical Resistance

Spiral's ruptures deal physical damage, which can be mitigated by champions with high physical resistance like Absorbing Man and Hulk. If an opponent has strong physical resistance, Spiral’s damage over time from ruptures will be reduced, making it harder for her to chew through their health.

4. Buff Immunity/Champs with low buff count

Spiral’s ruptures get a nice damage boost of 10% additional potency for each buff the opponent has. Against champions who are Buff immune like Titania or have a low Buff count like Count Nefaria, Spiral won't be able to capitalize on her rupture potency from the opponent's buffs. Without the buffs to enhance her ruptures, her damage output will be considerably lower, making it harder to apply consistent pressure and take down the opponent quickly.

Recommended Masteries:

Mystic Dispersion: Although Spiral doesn’t benefit from Mystic Dispersion since she has her own Power stealing abilities, it does increase her Rupture duration by a second per point. If she has 5 points, 5 seconds increase to her ruptures.

Despair: Despair is an excellent choice for Spiral, as it directly enhances her debuff game. While Spiral relies heavily on ruptures for damage, Despair further strengthens her ability to debuff the opponent. This mastery reduces the effectiveness of healing for opponents affected by debuffs, which is incredibly valuable when facing healing-heavy champions like Gorr.

Inequity: With Inequity, the more debuffs Spiral applies, the more the opponent’s attack rating is reduced. This makes Spiral harder to hit, giving her a defensive advantage while also maintaining her offensive pressure. It synergizes well with her ability to inflict ruptures and other debuffs, allowing you to stack more of them and reduce the damage the opponent can deal.

In Summary

So there you have it, folks! Spiral is a DAMAGE-DEALING, BUFF-DESTROYING powerhouse who thrives on chaos, mayhem, and a WHOLE lotta buffs! With her ruptures, power steal, and buff manipulation, she can melt through even the toughest of opponents, leaving them helpless in her wake. Whether you're looking to counter high-buffer champions, nullify defensive buffs, or ramp up her damage with fervors, Spiral is always ready to take center stage. Get ready for some action-packed matchups as Spiral keeps the drama alive and turns EVERY opponent into the ultimate side character! Whether it be Battlegrounds, Questing, Alliance War, or even longer content, Spiral will always have a place to shine. Don’t underestimate her, because she’s got a whole set of tricks that make her a force to be reckoned with in any situation.

So go ahead, Summoner—get her on your team and start causing some serious damage! Spiral is ready for the spotlight, and there's no turning back!

Mojo out

She barely soloed this Necro Odin, between his big buffs count, and the absence of anything stressful in the match (she can be reversed controls immune) seeing her barely soloing HIM is pathetic https://youtu.be/OZmU58esdgU?si=NM9UomlWmZ9TcgxT

I feel like you misunderstood how her ferver works

It increases damaging effect ability accuracy, Spiral has a low chance to place ruptures but with more fervors, the chance is higher.

Why the heck people disagreeing with this awesome, in-depth review? Wish folks who disagree at least shared their own review.

But you're saying she increases her chance by 600% and can bypass glancing which as far as I'm aware is not how it works. Have you tried her against glancing? Based on her spotlight it hits 90% chance at is max

It hits ~90% at max because her base chance is a measly 1% and each fervor increases her DOT AA by +600% with a max of 15 fervors. It should let her “ignore” glancing because glancing’s -100% offensive AA is inconsequential to multiple +600% boosts. Her spotlight even highlights this advantage in the “strengths and weaknesses” section at the beginning.

    6* not performing good? 😱😱
    Who would've thought.

The beginning of 7* versions of 6* hero was seen as massive overhaul in players dealing giga damage.

Older 6* heroes as 7* began to hit like truck, same 6* Titania was ignored, 6* warlock pillow, 6* spiderham was meh, 6* chavez laughable and 6* storm damage was yawn etc

But the moment 7* versions of these came, all of them got massive damage boost, finishing fights left and right, single sp3 from Titania finishes EVERY SINGLE FIGHT in BG, ham 5 popper choppers burst anything.

The same damage boost which is now once again missing on newly released and designed 7* attackers

Why? Kabam? Why intentionally limit 7* heroes with scuffed damage and ruin newly released 6* hero damage?

    Big yikes

I was under the impression that it boosted the potency of her chance to Rupture by 600% which would then make it 6 per hit per ferver, but I guess the way it's worded and coded probably works differently than it seems.
