How important are alliance milestones for banquet?

I've been allianceless by choice for some time due to a combination of waning activity on the game and just a relative unwillingness to play AQ. However, I am going to have something in the range of 10,000 units for the upcoming Banquet, and as such I truly want to maximise the value I can get from them, both for myself and others. So I ask, how crucial are the alliance milestones in terms of Banquet rewards? And if they are quite crucial, when should I look for an alliance to ensure I can claim the rewards on the day of release?

    Very important. If you are putting up over 7.5k units join an alliance with min requirement so you aren't carrying anyone

    You need to be in an alliance 14 days or more prior to the start of the banquet to be able to contribute on day 1.
