It will take a while to figure out what really they want us to do with this node combo and only then think about counters. For now no idea what is the strategy.

Gamora r2 easy solo for metal and S

I just used ascended adam and solod for cosmic M but I heard cgr works

Used r3 photon for Avengers M another solo

Solo with 7* r3 QS for size: M and Avenger. Fight’s so much easier with a miss counter, you can freely punish specials and don’t have to worry about the falter charges. Just cycle sp1 (build momentum) and sp2 (double whiplash and inflict trauma), you shouldn’t have to do this more than 2-3 times unless you’re using a really low rank QS.

One revive with sparky. Fight sucks but not too bad.
  • captain_rogerscaptain_rogers Member Posts: 9,763 ★★★★★
one revive with cgr. died at 3%. Cgr is a great counter with his power gain just alternate between specials and try to deal max damage during damination and armor breaks.

Well, On the Prowl is there to help you: the brief Power Lock will allow you to safely combo across a bar of Power and into a Special without excess Power remaining; so avoiding Prowler's drain ability.

Similarly, Energy Convert is a safe way to dump excess power, to prevent being punished by the Plagued Mind node.

Final solo with 7* r1 Gamora for the size: S and metal objective.

Just bring a miss counter if you can folks, it saves you a lot of headache. Gorr was difficult and I felt like I was constantly walking a tightrope. Gamora and QS were easy mode. You can play around the miss if you don’t have other options, but I’d probably recommend even a low rank miss counter if you have one over one of your highly ranked champs.

Yes miss counter makes a big difference. If you can punish his specials you can easily keep the tempo. Just alternate between specials and throw a heavy when plagued mind is about to trigger.

Gamora and CGR done. Don’t have Photon above a 4* and my Quicksilver is 6*R2. Trying to make it happen with Iron Man or Cap Sam to avoid spending resources ranking up a 6*.

Adam Warlock was a rather easy solo for M and Cosmic. I haven't tried the others yet.

Parry works 2% of the times on this fight.

You can't parry prowler medium since it is non contact and since he has a monstrous range on heavy he likes to throw it easily so you can't reparry either. Using someone like photon who can parry non contact hits work great.

So who’s a good option for the M Avengers if I don’t have Photon? Got the other two objectives done with Warlock and Gamora

Oh, that s why Photon was the only fight with parry working. Thanks, I don't use Prowler so I didn't know...

Anyway, for the tech objective, my best option was LD, the hardest one and it took the most time to finish because of the special timer. Photon for Avengers, my only solo, and CGR was great for cosmic.

    What tech objective?

I powered through with 7*R2 Iron Man for the M Avengers one with a couple revives. I’m sure it’s solo-able, especially with him awakened for some regen to help, but I was impatient and had potions expiring so I spent a couple revives to get it done before the potions were up.

You don't need a specific champion for the fight. It's more a question of not bringing champs with immunities to the power drain/burn, since you get punished severely whenever such an immunity kicks in.

I personally used Adam Warlock (as mentioned earlier; a solo), Photon (also a solo), and Deathless Guillotine (soloable, but I realized that I had a bunch of revives in the overflow so I just popped them during a good run; two revives in total).

But I reckon you can do the fight with almost any champion, as long as you learn the mechanics of it.

However, if you have a reliable miss counter of someone who can parry non-contact attacks, that obviously helps a great deal. That's why Photon is so good, since she can do both.

Solo with 7* r3 Gorr for size: M and cosmic. This fight is not easy, definitely a step up from Jabari.

General advice, stay aggressive when possible. Can’t afford to wait things out due to plagued mind and the need to throw alternating specials to keep the indestructible off. If that means throwing a few basics into block, all the better to keep the falter charges from building up. Throw your specials with as little excess power as possible, because Prowler will drain any remaining power anyways and convert it into damage. If you find yourself with a bunch of power remaining and the plagued mind power drain approaching, find an opening to charge heavy. This consumes all your power but is NOT a power drain, so you won’t take damage.

For Gorr specifically, try to throw a sp3 as your first special. You’ll get a bunch of paused shadow magic buffs that will boost your ramp. Proceed to build up as many debuffs as possible (you can build some through block), throw a sp1 or sp2 when you can, then once you’ve set up a ton of debuffs land a heavy to shoot yourself to sp3 and launch when ready. This won’t kill Prowler, but it’ll severely hurt him and from there just improvise around the nodes until you can finish him off.

Maybe I just say, thank you very much @Squidopus for the perfect breakdown of the fight. 😊👍

Before reading this, I was only able to take about 25% off Prowler.

After, I managed to do all 3 Objectives with just 2 revives (one of which Prowler was just 1% away from another solo). 😊

    Many thanks again.

Now I'm one step close to dupping my D She-Hulk....oh wait I haven't even got her yet 🤣🤣🤣
