Path To Uncollected (Collector Boss Fight)

Heyo! First post on this forum, wow. I'm currently trying to obtain the "Uncollected" milestone rank, and the good news is; I'm just about there, only need to get past the level with the Collector boss. The bad news? I'm comically underleveled. My champions are roughly half the level of the enemy NPCs on the map, and while I've managed to push through with Cosmic Ghost Rider (Armor Break is my saving grace), by the time I reach the Collector, it's nearly impossible to beat him as 1. He is a much higher level, and 2. He seems to hard-target Cosmic Ghost Rider above all my other champions, and I have never managed to actually fight him with said character (who's conveniently the most useful in dealing good damage against him). Due to the rank and level caps in this game, I'm at a lost as to how I'm supposed to get my champions high enough to stand a chance against the Collector. I'm sure there's something I'm missing, but I don't know what. Any suggestions?
