Fighting Spiral and losing immediately

Can someone please explain how I start the fight with my BP (20%health) and ant-man (20% health) and they both lost immediately, before any contact was made at all. No parry, no block, no dex, no nothing just a KO screen. Why? When I used my NF who had 100% health he lost roughly 20% health with my first parry against Spiral. I watched the videos and read up on her on the website, but I cannot see why this happened. Please explain.

    I believe she has a node that punishes either buffs or immunities that deals a lot of damage
