Carina's Challenges objective clarification

On the new set of challenges it says to defeat a certain champion. For example OS for the God challenge. I'm wondering why people are saying it's half paths we have to do. The challenge don't say get to phy man it says defeat x champion. Just lookingfor some clarification if a full half path has to be done or just defeat the required champions and then end the run there?

    You can simply just defeat that champion then end the run.

    U cant u gotta do both for it to be completed as an objective to the 6 runs
