The surfer slander has more to do with what most people WANT him to be. His kit and utility is outstanding, but he’s one of the most popular comic characters and many of us wanted him to be stronger so we would play him more. If Surfer could do Gamora/Angela damage (right away and not in some perfect niche match up), he’d be many people’s favorite champ.
Despite what everyone here tells you he is amazing imo. One of my first 7 stars and took him to R3 awakened sig 40 or sum and use him regularly with greate willpower immunitys. So if you like him don't care what others tell you
That's because they know very little how champs work outside of Hercules. So if id the champ isn't Hercules, It's not a good champ. It's their crutch
You're not wrong. Honestly if purple actually tried out characters instead of just assuming they're bad because a YouTuber said so they be surprised at how many good characters they have
