The cost to R3 a relic is ludicrous

I have just noticed that T4 alloy frags are in BG store, however the cost to form just one is 60,000 battle tokens and you need three to R3 a relic, for a total cost of 180,000 tokens, not including the other materials.

Is it just me or does this seem unreasonably steep?

I have never, in the entire history of Relics, ranked up a single one, because I legitimately do not understand the value of ranking them up.

Kabam has done such a poor job of explaining and executing them. It doesn't surprise me that the resources to rank them up are so poorly dolled out.

Plus it costs 250k gold to take a 3 star relic to R2.

I actually like using them in the game, but the costs to rank them up seem on the high side.

Any time we cab earn a new rank on a champ it'd super expensive at first too. Same with relics. Give it time it'll be cheap later.

relics are helping champions in only a half of this game because they are only available for attack, not in defend

Kabam knows that the majority of people who will pay for r3 relic materials are prestige-focused. That’s a famously price-insensitive group, so Kabam knows they can keep the mats expensive.

The price is absurd for a r3 6* but the value is super clear…they get stronger when you rank them. More of whatever effect it provides. HB gives you even more shock damage at high ranks, SW gives more potency to its effects, etc. They're incredibly good investments at a 5* level but the 6* costs are too much

I have a 1-2 and 2-3 six star relic rank up gem sitting in my inventory for over a year now lol.
Because who cares,..i only use them when they are mandatory for new story content and then disable them when it’s finished.
