Is there a banquet alliance ranked rewards thread?

Just wondering if there’s been any word from Kabam about why alliance points don’t really count for anything? 11th place is the same as groups in the thousands? I know decently ranked alliances usually hit all the milestones day one, but what’s the point in going hard if just hitting the milestones does the same thing. Is this because the realm event they said wouldn’t take from alliance and solo rewards?
