Decided to do a completely unorthodox rank up: Electro

I had been wondering how he would perform on defense for a while now, so went ahead and pulled the trigger.

He reflects static shock when hit. Took him for a few practice runs to guage the damage reflection. Only one champ so far, Shuri, doesn't receive damage from this, so other attackers are guaranteed to loose health. Some more than others based on damage they deal to him, and class disadvantage. Mystics take more damage, with Enchantress appearing taking less. But again, it's based on damage dealt to him.

I conclusion: He might be a solid defender, or enough of a distraction. His healthpool is traaaaaassshhh, but at least being on defense would boost it.

To my surprise, he's been banned a few times already 😂









And when on defense, looks like he caused a few problems. At least enough to add to the loss of health.

    He is a sneaky defender for sure. I have 2 r5 gems debating whether I should rank him up or not.

    I'm hearing some good things about him from here, and from my alliance family. A lot of players ranked him up because he's annoying and needs direct counters, or non-contact attackers lol.

    I just wish his health pool wasn't one of the worst in the game. A r5a with not even 50k health is ridiculous.

    I'm only not ranking him up because he's annoying defender and Kebem can make him 7* anyday now 😭

    I was planning to do him then I started to pull Korg and attuma on repeat, Kebem giving hints.

    I ment that the synergies weren't relevant. His mostly unavoidable damage unless you have a counter ensures he can be useful as a defender.

    I don't understand; his kit says "Opponents that make contact with you receive a Static Shock for 38% of the damage they inflicted as Energy Damage." So why the focus on non-contact champs instead of champs that deal physical and direct damage instead of energy. That's not a narrow list.

    But the kit says: "receive a Static Shock for 38% of the damage they inflicted as Energy Damage." So if no damage was inflicted as Energy Damage, wouldn't you receive 0 damage back? I'm confused.

    Because you’re reading it wrong.

    The damage reflected is energy damage from electro to the opponent.
    So Electro is a "they" now too, like Isophyne?
    I don't claim I'm right but I'm definitely not reading the sentence wrong. It could be phrased incorrectly but that would be the issue.
    Otherwise, in "Opponents that make contact with you receive a Static Shock for 38% of the damage they inflicted as Energy Damage," "they" has to refer to "opponents" because pronouns replace nouns, and here "they" matches "opponents" in number (plural), is closest to it in the sentence, and makes sense as the ones causing the damage.

    No. Any contact hit that you do and deal damage can be dealt back to you as energy damage. Whether you deal Physical or energy damage to electro, the damage he reflects is always energy damage
    Yes, I tested him just now and I stand corrected. You guys are right. But the kit phrasing is so misleading it makes me wonder whether this is a bug and he was only meant to reflect energy damage.
