Crucible of Woe, Sorrow, Sadness, and Agony

I think the Crucible was a very well-received event as were the “seasons” challenge this last year. I think they’d be great combined. Take all 24 fights and put them into one quest where you can bring any champion for only one fight.

Rewards could include one T7 Basic

Here’s my crazy idea for a Carina’s challenge to it. Have one Carina’s challenge for each class. You have to take 24 fights with just Tech or just Mystic, etc, which would require you to go very deep in your roster. Rewards would be that class’s awakening gem and R2-3 gem.

Lastly, make a “Normal” version of the quest where it is 24 paths out, each to one fight so it can serve as a museum and fun place to test different champions against different challenges. Full exploration is some T3 or T4 revives.

I really like the 1st idea of seasonal crucible style gauntlet. The 2nd idea seems a bit much, although if they were to put 2 classes together & make it choose 1 of 3 possibilities for the carinas, that could be fun. Running it a total of 7 times just sounds terrible & would be a slog

Maybe my thing about the Carina’s challenge was too much, but I really don’t think it would be any harder than Crucible was. You have your entire roster to identify cheese options where possible. You would just need to plan in advance and figure out where the pain points are. I’m sure many of the fights could be soloed. Plus, if it’s like the Crucible, you could keep the quest open over a period of weeks to restock on revives.

There are hell lot of fights which need counters that cannot be present in a said class.

Said that, I have a even crazier idea.

All 24 fights in a quest, and you have to do the quest with deathless team. There could be heal/revive mechanism every 3-4 fights for less item usage. Is there any fight none of the deathless champs can absolutely cannot take out?

I like crucible and thought it would be cool to see all the sos champs re-emerge in a crucible style content. However asking them to do all fights with specific champs is too ambitious.

Instead have it like how some other carina challenges work, make it so that only a select few fights require certain tags. For example the recent heimdall fight. Make it so that the carina challenge asks you to fight him with specified tags. That way you plan all the carina fights first then plan the other fights with left over champs. Not all 24 will need a carina challenge, maybe like 5 at most.

There will be a completion reward so that if you chose not to do any of the carina challenges, you can still benefit from completing the quest.

I dont mind doing all those fights in one go, if we can use all attackers more than once. Planing the whole path, and then at fight 13 realizing you’re screwed - its not a good feeling.

Its pretty easy, if the rewards are good, we’ll do anything 😅
