So, how did you enjoy ares?

Personally I felt like crying a few times. Especially the beginning. I was under the assumption we are getting little pop ups or something to show what to do on his special attacks. But I was wrong. And yes I did read his abilities. I just expected visual clues.

Overall. The fight itself is fun and the concept is fun. I do really wish they didn't increase his special attack speed based on the phase.

Also if only his specials had something like glykhan where you know its sp1 or sp2. Since his animations are faster I did struggle with reacting to the special it is at that moment. I did get the timing eventually.

Anyone elses A.I was just.... Weird? I've never seen something like it. Also his reach on his sword light attack threw me off guard a few times.

Its not exactly a revive fest once you know what you're doing. But on the first run its definitely a revive fest.

Overall the quest itself id give a 8/10.

Only because of the faster animations ares gains + the gates (I hate gates)

I can never understand using the word “fun” when describing this type of content. Challenging and rewarding, the feeling of accomplishment more like, enjoyable. But certainly not fun (for me at least). Glad you beat and enjoyed it though.

Being challenging and rewarding is the fun , especially the reward part I did the cosmic path and got got a bunch of cosmic stuff , and scream from the titan , and the fight goes really well when you start stacking the passives just pray bro chooses to throw the sp1 more than the sp2 lol , in general a really fun fight , I hope you do good in you're run

I think the fight was pretty fun at times and very infuriating at times. My only piece of criticism was the lack of indicator on which special attack he threw. I understand that some may have found it pretty straight forward but I found myself not being able to react in time.

All the “let’s not judge this fight too early, he might be easier than expected” was of course nonsense. Watching content creators far more skilled than the likes of me throw revive after revive at it just confirmed this is a hard pass.

Monthly quest deals plus the daily revives , and at least a 1k units and you're good , am not the greatest players ,and it went really well for me , i even manage to save revives for the next run .

The sp1 is very easy , dex parry parry light and dex , the sp2 got me good , I was not able to deal with it a single time , so after fase 2 it became very annoying but overall was a pretty easy fight , Thanos was melting him through every fase .

Yeah the sp1 was pretty easy. I think I only got the sp2 down successfully once or twice.

I feel the same, not fun. You have a nice sense of accomplishment after but its not fun. most of it is frustrating and just the feeling that you might not have enough potions and its going to cost you money every time you get womped over something stupid. I just feel like they are just making more and more hoops to jump through and just over complicated designs that take the "fun" out of it. it gets worst and worst every new event. There is not end to the ridiculousness and its just all about how much you can endure how many potions you can save up which is not fun to me. The bosses are going to be just stupid in the next few years at this pace..

I haven't done it yet, and it seems terrible. It will take a lot more revives than I thought.

Something around 30 revives , playing badly too and if you got good options for the path maybe less

When MSD is struggling, you know it's poorly designed.

MSD got three solos on him…the first fight he struggled cause he was learning the boss.

What I found helpful was speaking out loud the initial inputs. then speaking out loud the prompts after phase 3

that’s not hard, just mean for mean’s sake.

You remember the way fight designer was talking. He is getting exactly what he wanted.
He didn't like we cheezed his horrible GM phase 4. He designed somthing that can't be cheezed.

Yup yo can definitely feel that during the entire quest . And that is good , there's no skills in spamming sp3s .

Im only talking about about the degen down to his health with that point… not sure how using consumables is cheezing a fight…

The 4 thumbs down just proves it's the same usually suspects (and we all know who you are) just no ethics, morals or dignity, bad actors. MSD is respectfully, top 1 or 2 skilled players in the game, and I don't know who #2 is

That last phase is a revive spam if the AI acts funny

I wasted 3/4 revives because he refused to dash in, he’d turtle, and then when I’d go in for a dash then he intercepted me.

We cheesed gm phase 4 with reverse immune.
The same designer wanted us to fight gm with alternating reverse controls, is what I'm saying.
He is doing everything in his power to cost players items.
Endgame content used to cost 4k units per path on average. It's not like that anymore atleast.
We will get our shiny new r4 in the end regardless.

Id still rate abyss collector more bs than ares.
