Max Signature Ability Crystals

Has there ever been any thought into tweaking the drop rate for these crystals? I've watched countless videos where guys and gals had tons of these crystals and only received shards from them. From my experience it was the same, last night I had one of those YEEEEEEEESSSSSSSHITE!!!! moments when the crystal seemed like it was stopping on a 5* Immortal Iron Fist but instead took that last slow leap of faith onto 5* shards. I'm not asking for the drop rate to sway towards the hero in those crystals, but I wouldn't mind it if it was just as likely to get awakening gems or sig stones as it is to get the shards. The shards are great, no doubt about that; but it does get boring if that is all that comes from them.
