Just 100%'d Epoch Of Agony, Ares is a good fight but it's too hard on the eyes.

My first run (ok...two runs) I used Juggs and just revived my way through it. I figured since I had about 200 revives in over flow and with units, it didn't really matter and the rewards were worth it. The problem was, after the two paths were done, if I did one more, I'd get an awakening crystal. So I decided to try and learn the fight because I was down to about 50 revives and didn't want to spend money (lol...). So I tried to learn it the next go around and to be honest I kind of just learned the axe combo and just always went for it and hoped I got lucky and that's what he through. It kinda worked, went from like 50 revives to 30. At this point I figured F-it, if I just finish it, I'll get my first R4, so I did what I always do, and say I'll grind the units (immediately cave and buy deals) and fully explore it. After nust finishing it and really getting a handle on the fight, I can say I actually really like Ares as an idea, but as someone who is aging, that split second you have to determine what the combo was going to be was just to intense on the eyes to have to focus on long term. I think it was fair to boost your strength every revive, it's a good cancelation prize but what really needs to be done is just a simple maybe color flash or start each combo with the same move to give your eyes just a second to adjust, i.e. both the axe and the sword both start with a parry or a dex and then diverge from there. Very cool fight, well made, just physically a bit straining.

Great content...aside from Iron Fist...

I’m with you 100%. I just finished exploring it too (thank you MSD for the video guide 😅) The Ares fight is tough, but fair, and I enjoyed learning it. Could be better optimized, but much better than the paths
