Epoch of Pain Q for those of you who have finished exploration - easiest and hardest path?

Question for those of you who have explored Epoch of Pain already : Which path did you find easiest? Which was hardest?

Wait can someone explain why an unduped serpent may be preferred? I was about to use a cosmic gem on my r3. I haven’t done any epoch yet. I kinda took serpent up without even reading him lol

Unduped serpent doesn't lose his persistent charges when he is KO'd as death immunity is his sig ability (which consumes persistent charges when KO'd). His persistent charges increases attack. If you plan on dying, it's best to use unduped. I'm trying to get my run done before I accidentally dupe him.

I thought Cassie with cosmic and skill was easiest once you remember the global node. Serpent just aced most of the fights. I guess it depends ultimately on how comfortable you are with Gwen and Heimdall. If those don’t bother you, the rest of the fights are pretty smooth with Serpent. I brought Thanos for Toad.
Sadly I only have the 6* R5A max sig version of Serpent. Debating whether to use the 6* vs a less optimal 7*.
I'll be using my 7r2 [maybe r3 by Wednesday when I run it] unduped instead of my duped r5a since I'm planning on dying, and the unduped keeps the charges when you die. @Oakenshield
Do we know if Ares’ ability that locks the attack value means it ignores the fury buff or not? I know Serpent gets his fury buff at the start of the fight, but do we know how the Ares ability interacts with that?
Its their attack rating at the start of the fight. As per runs i've seen (mind you, i haven't fought ares with serp yet), serpent's attack doesn't get the benefit of the fury buff. Though its worded as "attack rating at start of fight is locked at tht value", kabam has coded it as "Attack value cannot increase beyond his base attack".
This is why the vigor system is there, it doesn't increase ur attack, it increases the damage taken by ares.

I think this is correct. I’ve taken him with serpent twice and the fury doesn’t really matter, IMO. Once you have 8 or 10 vigor, you are hitting quite hard.
