Anyone else love the first day of new BG season?
30k+ tokens just for winning a few matches, will use that to immediately R2 my Storm PX for EoP.

Well it's just play 5, hopefully win a few, wait till last week, crush lower rosters, reach GC for me.

Only played 5 fights, and I’ve already ran into 2 players with two R4s in their deck 😅
First days gonna be rough 🥵

Yeah, it can get rough at times.
But for me, I just enjoy the format and the competition.
If I'm losing that means I have stuff to learn, so it's all good.
And if I ever feel sunk in a loser's self-loathing, I just remember that even if you're MSD and have the best 7R3 sig 200 champs bullying 6* opponents, you can still suck sometimes:

Ahh, nothing like jumping into BGs on the first day

For comparison, I have zero R4, 11 R3, and only one 7* at Sig 200 lol. Not mad about it, just crazy the variance you come across.

Finally found a few minutes in between work stuff to get this done. Super pumped, EoP Ham path here I come (probably this weekend though).

Who is this guy, the runner-up to the 2024 Master of Ceremonies?
Clearly spent thousands of $$$ on the game, which is good for us who want to see the game continue to flourish.
On the other hand, I can understand why some people hate BG if they are prone to getting triggered by ostentatious displays of roster wealth.

Why her for the ham path?
I don't have other good 7* Mutants (no Prof X, no Onslaught, etc.) and someone showed me how to solo several fights on that path with Storm PX. And my test run with her as 7R1 worked, so we shall see....

I'm sure I'm overthinking and over-preparing, but revive spamming has never been something I'm ok with.
I don't just care about getting the rewards, I want to learn the fights and do them respectably.
That is literally the whole point of the game imo.
[Sorry for the rant, I know that part had nothing to do with your question.]

I hate the victory track so much

I have no R4. I don’t even have any T7B fragments. I just got my 4th R3 last week. I have 8 R2s and the rest are mostly 6* R4 that haven’t been ascended but victory track matchmaking loves to pair me up against accounts like this. I really feel for the paragons, the thronebreakers, the uncollecteds, and especially the new players who just picked up the game because they saw some streams of battlegrounds and thought it was cool. As the game progresses and people gain access to the materials to make their champion stronger and stronger, those players are going to end up, stuck there forever playing extreme mismatches and unable to advance without an extreme amount of grinding and/or spending
