Current State of the Game...
Around 7 months ago I tried to make awareness of the inevitable situation the playerbase would face in the future do to Kabam's merchandising strategy. Around that time, I had already started to feel the direction this game would take in the near future.
This is what I forsee happening with the game during the next few months (my guess):
1) The continue of last year's proven to generate income profit model.
2) Constant recycled end game content to "alleviate" playerbase from not falling too far behind.
3) A very slow timeline to update game mode rewards.
4) A steady devaluation of Units and an increase to the price of items in Sale Stores.
5) Same playable game modes with only a couple changes to nodes and map designs during updates.
6) Massive release champs for sale through web store.
7) No update on Arenas, Traders Outpost or SDE.
8) More Thronbreaker - Valiant brackets on sales.
9) An increase of irrelevant champs introduced to Titan pools.
10) Last but not least, more Bugs
I do see the return of realm events around August and next tier progression around November with long form content in-between Cyberweekend and Banquet though.
Anyways, 7 months later here I am sadly to say I was not wrong. I have decreased my playing time to the point of not caring anymore about content, game modes, champion releases and I definitely don't spend a dime anymore. I currently have no motivation to play the game at all. I will possibly quit this if I don't see a change asap, however, if you like the game the way it is, have fun. 👍🏻
