Mystic R4 - Enchantress or Kushala?

Unfortunately, I got one of the worst gems, but it is what it is.

Main focus is BGs, so either attacker or defender is fine, just whichever benefits more.

I will say that Kushala may not need the r4 against cosmics, but against non cosmics like Domino, Korg or , Bullseye the extra rank would definitely be felt, and could lead to faster kills from sp1 spam?

Enchantress is top mystic defender rn (is she top 5 overall?) However, I heard torres will be hard counter

Neither needs r4, is there any fun options you have? Some mystic you personally like? Like hood, wiccan, symbiote supreme, kindred?

@Herbal_Taxman with higher HP, wont you have to go through the hassle of removing her spells more often , which is where the window of error could increase? Also thoughts on kindred? Would he benefit?

Defenders always get the better benefit than attackers for BGS when ranking. The health multiplier is the main factor here

You are not a BG grinder or even at the highest competition like 95% of the community.
Take kushala up and enjoy using a strong upgraded attacker for the intended purpose.
Stop overthinking.

Mine at rank 4 always get banned in BGs and I literally don't understand why as they end up losing to me banning their other mystic counters and consistently losing to my DThanos, Serpent, Maestro...

I don't understand that either.
If I raced a r4 kushala, that means I get to keep my r3 kushala and hope my defender takes a bit longer to kill than yours does.

The only time I ban a r4 is when I don't have them as a r3, or at all for thar matter.

Even if I'm still rocking the 6r5a (Serpent, Pig, Silk) I'm just gonna take my chances and hope I get a better draft.

For me, the biggest factor with Enchantress is the RNg at the beginning of the fight. If she procs untouchable or unstoppable or whatever the evade one is called, she s probably going to win for you whether she’s r3 or r4.

I think the hypothesis that Kushala becomes much better against non-buff matchups is very sound.

Ultimately I think it depends on how big your r3 roster is, how quickly you tend to acquire rankup mats etc.

I’m assuming you don’t have a Chavez?

If midchantress works, she will even cook on r1 but if opponent is good enough, they can nuke in just 2 spell cycles, kushala would be much better for faster takedowns while also being useful everywhere else even if your focus is bgs unlike midchantress.

Keep in mind that an r4 Enchantress's block damage would be absolutely nasty (you are forced to hold block against her even if she doesnt proc the miss or evade). That and the higher health from the multiplier that @Cloudddey_bro mentioned also means you'd have to remove her spells more often.

@Beewee thoughts on this one?
