Wheel of Fate Minority it Seems

Wheel of Fate is definitely challenging end-game content. I know many players feel that the difficulty outweighs the rewards and have been calling it garbage, but for me, it's a different story.
I might be in the minority here, but I actually enjoy content like this. It provides a clear goal and a sense of purpose, giving us something to strive for beyond the usual arena grinding or questing. In a way, it adds a layer of excitement and strategic depth—pushing us to optimize our team composition, mastery setups, and skill usage.
Much like the earlier variants and pre-nerf Act 6, this kind of content reminds me of the good old days, where the challenge was tough but rewarding if you could conquer it. It’s a taste of true end-game difficulty that keeps the game fresh and engaging, preventing it from feeling too easy or repetitive.
Of course, rewards need to be balanced to justify the effort, and I agree that some improvements could be made. But I appreciate that Kabam is experimenting with more demanding content, as it encourages growth and not always relying on the same old champions

In the past, we did (Season) of (a synonym for pain) content with filters.. and that was actually kind of cool and we usually had a choice to use an under leveled champ or rank a champ, but once in a while we'd be lucky enough to have an option ranked already.. but it was one fight every 2 weeks (meaning players could have a break in-between these fights)
This is a 13 fight quest, with each fight having a different filter.. that we need to repeat 3 times (with a different filter each time) for a total of 39 filtered fights for full rewards.. this is markedly different
And it just feels like way to make people rank up an unheard of amount of champs that they simply weren't interested in ranking or playing previously.. it's just so much, the volume of it
Edit: another huge difference is you were not locked to a champion in a one fight format.. if you chose poorly, you could back out and try something else.. here, if you make a miscalculation, you're just cooked probably
Now, there are examples of fights that may be virtually unwinnable without certain criteria.. idk exactly how many are contained in here.. or where exactly I stand yet on this particular piece of content, but my initial impression is that.. it's a lot - the 39 fights and the roster and skill ask is a lot (whatever combination of the two we use) .. is worth the rewards is the ultimate question
Many are saying no atm:)
We'll see if I still feel the same after quest 1 is completed though.
Where I disagree with your take is crediting WoF as an experiment. To me, there’s nothing experimental about it and that’s the problem. It’s just well-worn quest concepts put together in a slightly new way. Nothing feels fresh or new, at all.
It’s kind of like when I pull out three different kinds of leftovers from the fridge, roll them all up in a tortilla and try to front like I cooked “dinner.”
You are the latter, except you said it in a more positive way.
It’s not bad that they’re making difficult content, while it’s not the most fun thing in the world having large restrictions on your champ pool, the main issue is that the rewards don’t reflect it. So all your left with is hardly no motivation.
The random (but sometimes overlapping) pools for the fight.
I go into valiant EQ or the crucible, I can go at the beginning and see exactly who’s in play.
If you use Vox for Lady D, then don’t have Vox for Arcade, you might wind up unhappy.
