Gold is tricky. Similarly to ISO, you can reach a point where it's basically so abundant that getting more feels pretty much useless. However, then something happens - a big sale that gives you a bunch of rank-up materials, or a new rank is introduced (or if it already exists, it becomes much easier to achieve) that requires much more resouces - and suddenly you find yourself low on a resource that you thought would be forever abundant.
It happened to me after the Banquet. I had been drowning in ISO for years, yet that one event emptied all of my reserves and I was left looking at a big whole lotta nothing in my inventory. I literally didn't have a single brick - not even the smallest one - of ISO left. I was back in business again by February and now feel very confident about my ISO stack again, but I know that it can happen.
I'm in a similar situation with Gold. I just passed 200K so it feels endless to me. However, what cautions me against suggesting something like a Gold store (where you can use Gold as currency, not buy Gold) is that it would be very bad if I were to use up a lot of Gold there only to realize that I needed it for rank-ups down the line.
The gold acquisition have been raised so we don't hear about the gold shortage. Entering the age of " hey kabam what Can we do with all that gold"😁 A small gold offer could be nice nonetheless
