Man a titan costs 75k radiance, you get a champ for 75k radiance. I will be ok if magik costs anywhere less than 600k radiance. But if she costs more than 600k radiance in total, it's just a daylight scam.

Asking 600k radiance for NERFED bootleg Magik is crazy.
The purpose of including Magik in the store is to create a chase for players earning huge amounts of Radiance. Until we get more data I can't say how much it will cost (we still haven't had a non-borked Battlegrounds season). I'm confidence though that it will be a lot more than 250k, given players in top alliances earn way more than that every month. Won't be all at once though, players will gather pieces over time.
When you created Radiance and planned out how it would be acquired, wouldn’t you extrapolate how much could be earned at multiple progression levels over an amount of time to determine the best amounts to reward per event to keep it under control? Given that premise, shouldn’t you already know how much an appropriate amount would be for a “chase” champ like Magik?
I remember when whe had to play semi-casually to earn cool deathless champions, not grind the top100 in battlegrounds to earn some resource, which then I can't spend on anything else to obtain an old champ deemed "too powerful". Good ol' times

You know that in game there are also people except top alliances right? We're humans too.
Honestly just make her cost 60k radiance per piece in total 5 pieces to collect same as deathless pieces so 300k radiance in total so it will be in reach of mid level bg players who reach arcane 1 atleast and can buy 1 pieces every season and use the aq and aw raidance for other stuff So in theory you can get her in 5 months
*looks at human torch* If you expected differently at this point i really dont know what to tell you man. Prepare to be let down by whatever they announce and thay way it'll only feel slightly bad when it turns out worse than that
Certainly can’t argue with that. The “What it costs” by Kabam has grown so exponentially and at such a rapid rate, as of late, that I’m finding my interest diminishing at an almost equal rate.
The first champ I ever earned in arenas was a 3* (yes, you read that right. 3*) Magik. So after all this waiting for a 6* or 7* version of her; the news of “the cost” did not set well with me.

It doesn't sit well with anyone. What kabams been doing has been extremely negative from the player pov
Hopefully Magik is in a special crystal once and i get her as a rare collectible. It's definitely won't be possible for me to get from radiance store. Hopefully i can get a 6* easily.
Shouldn't all alliances regardless of rank in aq and aw get some amount of radiance? Even if its just a few hundred pieces per season?
You do have a point. My alliance earns radiance every week, but the smaller alliances need some support regarding Radiance, as well.
It's competitive currency right? We'll even alliance in the lower to bottom tiers are still competing with other lower bottom tiers. It's almost like they said yes your alliance but your not competitive.

You know what's even crazier? Asking more than 600k for that magik, lol.
This one is easy to blame on the people, they created their own FOMO by asking for Magik for too long. Oh you really want her that much uh? Well gonna cost ya!! And now we will have to deal with all this unavoidable limbo damage agh.
I read back and am even more concerned with Kabam Crashed's response earlier saying they'll see how much to charge for her when they have more data. It gives off a bad look like "We want to make sure we squeeze as much out of the players as we possibly can instead of setting a base cost we feel she's worth", you should have known the cost before you announced her in my opinion

Welp some know what they should charge and others are likely arguing how that influences the next set of chase champ valuations.
At the end of the day, the price for some consumers will either be too much, waaaaay to much, or gtfo. Except for their target group, which they hope will be ehhhhhh.... fine.

fair. but then you guys are seriously overfeeding those top alliances. who in fact are just in a round robin of fighting each other season after season getting fatter and fatter.
For the record, Im against kabam changing Majik just to release her as 6* or 7*. Either release her as is or don't release her at all.
You just want to use her sp2 rotation. You'll feel differently everytime you face her in bgs.
I am sure the sp2 is all that Kabam cares about. If the only issue was limbo, hell, release her as-is and then immediately follow with some science champ who punished passive damage.

There’s probably a presentation being passed around Kabam over the last six months:
“Missed Opportunities for Monetization During Deathless Saga and Best Practices for Maximizing Revenue in Future Events”

Could be.
I mean, if you consider her main abilities, the SP2 with Power Lock + Power Steal (even if they don't have any Power) is a problem for Kabam when she's attacking.
The Limbo with crazy energy damage is primarily a problem for players when she's defending.

I think the goal is to exploit aspirational motivation/FOMO. Basically, you generate broad excitement by announcing Magik's release on stream in front of tens of thousands of players. But you know full well that when the clarifying details come out, 99.9999% of the players will realize she's out of reach.
So why do this? Doesn't it just sow resentment among the overwhelming majority of your players?
Yes, but the initial hype drives massive engagement and spending spikes, even if most of the players end up frustrated and resentful once the clarifying details come out. What matters is that the tiny fraction of big spenders get psychologically manipulated into paying up to compete to get her, and this revenue outweighs the backlash from the broader pool of players.

If she isn't meta relevant, it doesn't matter how expensive she is

I'm sure they'll prioritise both equally. 😂
