Damage Cap in Labyrinth of Legends - Is it really necessary in 2025 ?

Hi,
I was scrolling on X today and saw someone post a Cyclops Blue Team vs. Labyrinth Elektra video with a caption like, "I hate damage caps." It got me thinking about how many times I’ve wanted to see a champion’s true potential—like fully ramped Proxima Midnight, Cyclops Blue Team, or a Rank 5 Ascended Ghost with full suicides and boosts.

So here’s the question:
Do we really still need a damage cap in Labyrinth of Legends?

The map is outdated in terms of rewards and fights. It's only been used in Carina’s Challenges once—with 4★ champions—so removing the cap wouldn’t really impact anything. Instead, it would finally let us see some wild, high-damage interactions most of us could only imagine.

I know it’s not a priority when it comes to bug fixes, new content, or rewards—but it could be a fun change.
Feel free to share your thoughts.

It’s only outdated if you’ve got roster full of 5, 6 and 7 stars. For new players who are always coming through it’s still relevant content and good preparation for harder content to come.

Once the top players have a roster full of 8 and 9 stars I’m sure we’ll see the same comments about necropolis.

My view would be to leave it alone.

I didn't say Abyss of Legends, I said Labyrinth of Legends. The labyrinth which gives you T2A and T4CC as rewards. The same T4CC and T2A you can get from Act 4-5 today. You can get 6* champions in couple weeks now, Labyrinth of Legends means nothing in 2025. ( A part of me really scared writing this, thinking someone from Kabam reads and goes like "Oh you think labyrinth of legends is nothing ha? Carina vol.6 summoner! Use your 4 stars again >:) )

If nothing else, remove the damage cap once a player has explored 100%.

    That is fabulous point.
Too bad they aren't going to do anything.

Act 5 buffed rewards are way better than Lab for new players

It's outdated content. The purpose of damage caps are to prevent people from nuking bosses in endgame content. In other words, kabam wants to force people into either playing perfectly or use revives. It also helps increase the playtime when new content drops

For older content like Labyrinth and Abyss, the damage cap shouldn't be a thing since as @Buttehrs explained, many champs are able to bypass it.

Nobody is playing Labyrinth, Abyss, or Necropolis in big 2025. You get t5cc from the daily super event even at lower progression levels and necropolis rewards are outdated for their difficulty. Kabam is never going to change the damage cap on this old content when nobody plays it.
