How to make older champions better and still make it worth the effort for Kabam

Hi
Kabam has gotten better at designing champions, so that there are almost no new champions that really sucks. Since 12.0 it maybe only two misses with Carnage and Vulture. So with this in mind it is time to revisit many of the older characters that you can get. I know many that just want to drop the game because they just keep pulling these champions and don't have the luck that others does. It is a waste that these players drops the game because they just don't have the luck that others have and the state of the game just is that you need great champs (5* R4 duped) to handle the hardest content. You just can't do LOL or Act 5 with a Magneto, Iron Patriot, Antman and the list could go on and on.
So there are two way forward. One is to nerf the top champs and neft the content like they did in 12.0. Here they took the top of the greatest champions and at the same time made act 4 a bit easier. This game with a big boycut and many players left the game. The other way is to make these older champs better, but problem here is that Kabam needs a way to get return of investment on redesigning these champions and just how to do that.
Blade is a good example of where people will buy unit packages to get a lot of chances to pull a blade from the featured grandmaster crystal and as we speak many are most likely take every opportunity to collect as many 5* shards as possible and that makes through deals too. Another place where people uses units (and with that money) is in arenas when they use refreshes to get a high score for a featured champion. So if the champion is good then players pay out.
So with this in mind then lets make a way to make these older champs attractive so you want to spend units for an opportunity and might want to save 5* shards for the champs.
First of you need a predictable ways to know when a champ will be available and what would make that champ desireable. Suggestion here is to take every champ in the order they were added to the 5* basic pull. Make announcement on each batch is ordered. And make like maybe a month in advance how you gonna redesign a hero. What have you done to redesign Iron Patriot? So players have a chance to save their 5* shards for a redesign of iron patriot because now he is a great champ. You don't need to make every champ on level with blade and sparky, but they should be on that baseline that you currently have for new heroes.
Second you need an arena system to grind these heroes.
Suggestion: Great a weekly or biweekly (depending on how fast you are able to redesign champions) arena. One for each star version from 1* to 5* to give opportunity for the players that are collectors to find those missing pieces. Getting a redesigned 1* should be easier (maybe top 40%) that getting a redesign 5* (maybe top 5%).
Third you need crystals to get a chance for these champs without grinding the arenas. You already have these, but are missing a featured redesign 2* and featured redesign 1* crystal. Guess you already know how to do this.
Fourth lets introduce a way to purchase a featured redesign hero with a high number of shards. Again for the collectors and for those that just don't have the luck that others have. Don't know what the price should be, but maybe 4x the normal cost of a crystal. That would be that you need 40k 5* shards to buy a Starlord or 8k 4* shards to buy a 4* Spiderman.
In my mind this would mean that Kabam gets return of investment in using resources to redesign the many older heroes that everyone hates to pull and some after a long time of just pulling these heroes just want to drop the game because what is the point of having no great heroes when you can't complete the content with these.
So Kabam. Make a new year resolution to see this as an golden opportunity instead of take the defensive way and nerfing the great champions again.
