Yesterday I made a post about how we should get rid of nodes and add larger health pools instead. It was dumb, and clearly a lot of you guys disagreeed, very strongly. So I took some time to think of something better, and ya boi has been cookin with this one. I say we DO keot nodes but, we should ad a feature where we can take away ONE node during that quest your doing, aside from a boss node. And if I’m not being clear enough becuase I’m too slow to explain things, then I’ll explain it clearly this time. Once every quest, there should be a feature for you to remove one singular node from any defender on your path. But you can only do this one time. And you can’t remove boss nodes either. Now I may be stupid and this might be a feature somewhere, But I haven’t seen it if it is, so don’t roast the life out of me if it already is. Monky out.

    how would people place defenders then , defender become hards because of the nodes this would completely destroy the concept

    I’m assuming this suggestion would only be for story mode, since that’s what his post yesterday was about. So AW and BGs would not have this feature in this hypothetical scenario

    First off it's really cool you put an opinion out there, received feedback, took it into consideration, and adjusted your opinion based on both your original stance and that feedback. That seems really rare now a days, so I just wanted to acknowledge that.

    As for the new idea, I'm curious if you can give an example in story mode where you'd want to do that? I don't think in act 7+ I can think of a situation where this would help versus make the path harder. This is because of all the weapon disabled, weapon steals, or play a way to get a fury buff. Maybe there's a scenario in act 6 though? Curious for you to give an example of ab act or path.

    While the first idea was too drastic, this one really wouldn't do anything. Removing a single node off of a single fight in a path full of fights with the same nodes?? What's the use of that except making one particular fight on a path completely irrelevant (since you could remove the health boost and watch them disappear)?

    Focus on progression and not so much on posting. You need work on both, but progression is easier to see the progress you've made.

    I’m not past act 6 yet so I didn’t know this, but then yes it would be, or any node in an act below act 6. I’ll give an example, on 6.2.2 (becuase I just finished it) you could remove the backboast global node for one fight aside from the boos and not have to worry about it.

    Yes, and I did think about this, however, that is why you would only do this once, and not on the boss, that way it would only happen for one fight, once a quest, and not on a boss, Now the part were you basically get one fight free every quest is where I’ve run into a roadblock. However it could be so it Cant effect attack or health boost nodes.

    In this scenario the fight designer would just add more nodes.. as the fights are already tuned to where they want them
    Also, nodes often play together to make a particular fight what it is.. there are often at least two that work together, so removing one basically destroyed the fight design

    All I’m doing is sharing ideas I came up with to the community, not complaining. (Even if I do kidna suck at the game )
