Problem with the locked camera

I have been working on exploring Act 5.4 and currently exploring 5.4.4. I do not sit there and finish the entire thing in one day instead I do one or two runs after a long day of work. I cannot recall which paths I explored and which not and the locked camera is preventing me from finding out.

What is the point of the locked camera anyway ? The paths already mapped and explained on the internet. Please provide a way to find out which paths were explored so we don’t have to waste energy.
