How to know if the opponent is about to use a special attack

Hey guys, I just wanna know how to easily dodge/evade the special attacks by opponents. Also, is it okay to use heavy attacks in the fight when the opponent is NOT stunned..

Addressing the latter, a definite no. Also try hitting an opponent once then dashing back. Gives you ample time to react and evade. I find practising against ronan's l2 helps to build confidence in evading. Good luck!

If the difficulty is high enough, the Power Meter is your best bet. Lol. They also have a habit of firing off an L3 when they're close to dead.

Maybe a heavy with Psylocke, but not really anyone else

Run arena to fight a variety of enemies and get used to their move sets and tendencies. Also the screen darkens a little bit when they start their sp animation. Addressed above, but using heavies without a stun or space created by evading a heavy or special is dicey at best.

The edges of the screen will usually darken whenever someone is about to use a special attack.

To easily bait specials, i usually hit the opponent once while he/she is blocking. Then, dash back immediately and stand still for about 2 seconds. This usually tricks the A.I that im vunerable to be hit by a special attack.
