Beginner rewards to advance rewards

In the beginning of the game, when you complete milestone rewards for let's just say Hero Use, the rewards are for the most part gold and tier 1 or 2 Iso. Which is great for beginners. You progress in the game and sooner or later the rewards are shards for the lesser/greater solo crystals. Still, not bad, but at what point do the rewards change? Is it after a certain amount of time in game, after a certain act, or what? Thanks everyone!
