Option to upgrade rarity of champion

Hello. Let me share my idea of what I would like to see in game.
Option to upgrade any champion to the same champion of higher rarity (only if said champion has a higher rarity, eg you wouldn't be able to upgrade 4star wolverine)
Cost of upgrading 4star champion to 5star: 8x 5star hero crystal and x gold (1 milion?)
Cost of upgrading 3star champion to 4star: 5x 4star hero crystal and x gold
It would solve issue with some new champions being locked behind paywall for 3 months after introducing new Featured 5star Crystal. Those who would aquire new champion through 4star featured arena on it's release, would be able to upgrade him to 5star.
It would also give unlucky people opportunity to aquire champion they have been chasing for long time with no success, for a big price, because it takes a lot of effort to aquire 80k 5star shards, and if someone is willing to use that kind amount of shards to get just one champion, in my opinion, he deserves that option.
Thus I don't think it could be abused by anyone and also that it could affect company revenue in negative manner, possibly so even quite opposite - it would increase value of 5star shards, making offers with them more attractive.
