Idea to replace daily catalyst quests

So with the announcement of the featured items coming into the store again, I had a little bit of an idea that I think would be a proper answer to several gripes that people have with the current state of the game.
If you click on your gold, you will see all the forms of currency you currently have, but there's a slot missing there. Maybe they have plans to fill it with a new currency. If not, here's my idea:
Get rid of the daily catalyst events. All of them. The drop rates are bad and it's hardly worth the energy to go through them. Instead, replace it with a new daily event. Maybe following the Boss Rush/M.O.D.O.K. Lab format. This new daily event quest will give you a new form of currency, upon random fragments for catalysts depending on the difficulty (think of the free for all catalyst event on Sundays.)
With this new form of currency comes a new store that is specifically for all your catalyst needs. You can buy fully formed catalysts and fragments for basic, class, and alpha catalysts of all tiers. Perhaps paying a premium for fully formed catalysts or fragments of a specific class type. As well as class catalyst crystals at a slightly cheaper rate on account of the randomness.
I think this would benefit players by having another way to get t1 alphas, help get a specific class catalyst any day of the week that they want, and offer a change of pace for the awful and ancient catalyst quests we have right now that definitely don't fit in with the current state of the game anymore. With t2 alpha , t4 basic, and t4 class fragments coming in at a much faster rate, and 5 star shards coming in just as fast, I don't think a change like this would be too unreasonable for Kabam to implement.

It’s time to seriously do something about this. Like what austin said, the current daily events no longer provides value to the current state and level of the game. Not only will his idea give players a better and more reasonable way to get the catalysts they need, it will also bring more fun and enjoy ability to something that has long been overdue for replacement.
I’m thinking the same exact thing, really hope they do update it when they’re released
The empty slot is for when we have a monthly event with it's own currency. (like Valor during the Thor event)
When we had the valor event, that currency had its own separate section underneath the treasury. I believe it was labeled as a special currency as well. So there was still an empty slot with our permanent resources
You are 100% correct...I was remembering it wrong:
I blame all of the glass cleaner I have been drinking...I know it is bad....but it is soooo blue!
