Freezing and/or closing when switching between apps

Any update to what is causing the game to restart or freeze when switching between apps or when it will be fixed? Like when I switch to line to say ok to someone and when I switch back to the game it either has to completely restart or freezes for about 30 seconds. Also if you get a low battery notification you usually get a 5-10 second freeze. It obviously doesn’t make the game unplayable but man does it get annoying.
