Will the next new featured champ after void reach the old 5 star featured crystal?

I may save up for 1 try at a 5 star feature and I just want to be sure that I will try getting a nice one while the chances are still high. I would have loved modok / void for my science cats but they are after feb 13. so I am just thinking who to pick out of medusa, mephisto, morningstar, blade and the possible next new featured champ. If the next new featured champ is a science champ and is still before feb 13, I just might consider him especially if its hulk ragnarok with some nice abilities.
Also, when would they release the list of 18 champs that will be in the first featured crystal? It will really help so that we can plan ahead.
