De-Awakening Gems?

I know this might look like a whining post but alot of players awakened characters maybe in a rush or they are holding back and saving for a specific champion. I think this gem for only 4 Stars will be amazing for the newer players who just got their hands on a 4* Awakening Gem. Hope some of you agree with me!

    I'm not sure I see the point of this. Wouldn't you be better served by just getting another awakening gem? So you can have 2 champs awakened instead of one? And the sig stones that you wasted would be gone. I like that you are thinking outside the box, but I think this one missed the mark.

    There are some champions who are better unawakened. So it'll have a viable use in the game. but i wouldn't want them to give you an awakening gem back in return for using that unawakening gem. Just give earn yourself an awakening gem.

    How would this work? They would have to use it before they ranked the champ at all, and before they used the champ in any content at all. So basically within 2 minutes of using the awakening gem?
