What does Stark Spidey's Taunt do?

So Every time I use Stark Spidey's special 1, The taunt sign comes up. What does it do? Is it useful?

    If you have a poise charge (dark blue icon) and you land 5 hits, the poise charge converts into a taunt. Taunts increase the chance of an opponent using their specials by 70%,

    it is super, super, duper useful. you can refresh an active taunt by idling for a second or two (not holding block).

    doesn't taunt weakens there attacks also?
