so i managed to dupe my 5* blue cyclops. i try to play the hand im delt, is there any pro's or con's to ranking him up?

r2 at least. Kind of depends on the rest of your roster, do you need to rank for prestige? where are you in ranking 5's vs. 4's.

He ok could be a defender though his sp1 is not as much of a pain now people are way too practiced with him

He is middle of the pack unfortunately among the current mutant class of 5*s. Unless you have an abundance of tier 4 basic catalysts that you need to use due to expiring stuff in your stash, you would be better off waiting until you pull Iceman, Rogue, Archangel, X23, or Nightcrawler.

He's OK.
Pros: Average to Good damage output. Nice prestige ( nothing out of the roof though)
Cons: Crappy survivability, no unique utility, overall, a so-so champion.
