Champions Using Specials During A Mid Combo

I was just doing alliance war and I came across this glitch which occurred when I was fighting groot. I had parried him and used my heavy on him and I hit the first part of the heavy, but before I could land the second part groot fired his special 2 and he was able to get me down a bit. So has anyone else been experiencing this glitch? I have a Samsung Galaxy Tab 4
