Trial of spririt 24 of february ending?

I was doing trial of spirit expert mode and beat the first oponent. after i come out of the victory screen it said "trial of spirit ended, rewards will be in your stash" and then took me out of the quest. i could go back in and finish it but what happened to make it end?
