Mephisto SP2 won't connect after full combo

Since the new update, I have issues with my mephisto. When I would do a 5 hits combo finishing with a slide hit and then launch an sp2, it would not connect because the opponent is too far. Never did that before, never seen this with other champions. The first whip would miss so the opponent as time to block the rest of the sp2 and then kill me... Happened more than once. Anyone knows anything on that issue? It's kind of annoying to lose a champ because of a bug like this. Maybe it's not a bug but a change in mephisto's way to fight. If so, it would be nice to know!
