Morningstar Sp3 vs Antman’s Passive

I know Antman’s passive can negate effects being placed on him if the attack “glances” off, but why make it effect Morningstar’s sp3? It already takes forever to get there and you can’t even get the glancing notification to tell you it didn’t work. You just have to sit there and sigh and hope you can get that soul on your next try.
