Why Can't You Turn Off the "Cursing" Blocking?

We're not all 12 years old playing this game...I think it's incredibly dumb to block out cursing by default. My alliance has people all around my age (32), so why exactly are we having our 'freedom of speech' taken away? If it's within the alliance no one outside can see it, and we're all big boys that can handle a few curse words. Particularly dumb is it that putting A & F next to each other is completely blocked. Kind of seems stupid...dare I say...AF? I understand in a sense blocking words on the main chat, but allow us to talk how we feel like talking in our alliances!

Because 13 year olds play the game, not saying it's a good reason but it's kabams one

And you don't have 'freedom of speech' everywhere at all times anyway. Kabam's game, they can do what they want

Snizzbar is right. Freedom of speech just means that you can't get into legal trouble for saying something. Kabam can censor their chat as much as they want to. Just use a different vocabulary or use a third party chat client like Line. Problem solved.

I don't know why being able to curse or not is such a big deal anyways. Yeah a lot of us do it, but is it so much that you can't even communicate without it? Generally not being able to curse is more annoying to the kids that want to do it because it's cool rather than to the adults who just don't care.

    Hey all,

The reasons others have given are totally correct. We don't tolerate profanity in the forums either, because users may be as young as 13. Since this is part of our rules, it's not up for debate and I'll be closing this thread down. If you have additional questions or need clarification regarding the rules that are here (CLICK HERE), please feel free to reach out to a moderator via Private Message. Thanks!
