MODOK Lab possible reroll bug

This has happened twice now.

I reroll in the lab. Verify buffs change. Exit the fight to claim a reroll in my stash that is going to expire. When I enter back into the match, my buffs revert to the original ones pre rerolling.

Is this the intended result?

    Yeah this happened to me too. Sadly once you in that screen and you re-roll you need to fight then and there or it will revert back to the original roll. Really annoying glitch.
