What happened with arena timers?

Where did my last hour go grinding for Storm?
I'm a UK player, btw.
Having googled daylight savings time over in the states, that appears to be most of the answer (it would be nice if there were reminders about this, given that this game is played around the world) but why does the 'Summoner Trials' arena still get the full 72 hours, and other arenas just get 71?

(No, I wasn't going for 3* Storm...)

Having worked that out before I finished posting, I still thought it was worth putting the question - why are the timers different for the different arenas?
And as I said, it wouldn't kill Kabam to remind the rest of the world about a clock change that most of us won't see coming because it doesn't ordinarily affect us. This is a worldwide game.
Does the uk practice daylight savings time?
Yeah, we moved to daylight saving time two weeks back. Glad you guys finally caught up.
Yes, daylight savings time, sure. But not all events will switch and there's never clarification on this. The whole winter glory store reset and aq reset didn't match because it stayed stuck in summer time. Why? Who knows. The basic and featured arena's where affected but the summoner trials not. Again: why?
Some clarification and a heads up in the future would be nice. Not all countries even have daylight savings time and there are like 5 different weekends that time "changes" until the whole world is on the same page again. A simple ingame message shouldn't be to much to askfor.
it's because non US players NEVER PAY ATTENTION TO DAY LIGHT SAVING as it doesn't affect them
That argument kind of applies to Kabam more than the player base, you know. When something happens twice a year in a different country, it's hard for us to be expecting it.
The other thing is, this wasn't a passive effect of daily savings time. The arena timers were actively changed to be shorter, as @Gwendoline says. Since that involved human intervention, why couldn't the same human at least have sent an in game message? Why not set it to 71 hours from the beginning?
Daylight saving times does affect me. For one, my country uses it (2 weeks from now) so I go through the change myself. This affects me. Secondly it affects me ingame. Timing is different. Aq starts at a different time, war does, other people already changed or don’t change time at all making the timing of dropping nodes different. This also affects me.
I do pay attention to daylight savings time, but not to the daylightsavings of other countries. Do US players pay attention to daylight savings time in other countries? Do they know when the UK changes, The Netherlands, Spain, Portugal, Asian, Australia?
