A. I. Heavy Attack into Sp's

Recently I have been doing either Modoks Lab, 4* or 5* Arenas and even in MasterMode for the Mutant Quest. I noticed the A.I. will do a heavy attack and an Sp1 or 2 as I go in to jab. Has anyone else have this happen?
