Tmobile March 19th Update rendered game virtually unplayable (Samsung Galaxy S8+)

Been playing for a little over a year now - first time posting on this forum because something has gone really really wrong.

Yesterday my game completely went nuts after I applied T-mobile's March 19th update to my Samsung Galaxy S8+.

Now, I have serious issues with dash attack (swipe) and heavy attacks. About 50% of the time AFTER the AI does an SP attack or I PARRY-stun my character will LIGHT attack instead of dash (yes I know what I am doing-for reference, I have cleared every challenge and every uncollected event for the past 4 months, it is not a user issue) . This does not seem to be a problem when I intercept, it seems to be limited to trying to make inputs after an SP or parry. Also, after a parry charging up a heavy does two things 1) it doesn't start the charge at all or 2) it starts the charge but when I let go it doesn't fire - the character is STUCK in the heavy charging animation. I have even dropped the phone on the table to make sure I wasnt touching it and my hyperion was just sitting there floating until the stun ran out and the AI proceeds to whack me.

I am almost 100% sure it is the update that caused this. I was playing in the morning yesterday (finished a few lines in 5.4.2 with 0 problems). Went to lunch and figured I let my phone update. The phone updates and in the afternoon I loaded it up and proceeded to have all of these issues. For a frame of reference, I was clearing lines in 5.4 with 0 item use the day before and in the morning. After the update, one single line forced me restart 2 times and then burn 2 revives and health pots just to finish.

On T-mobile's website the info is as follows:

Android 8.0
Baseband version:
G950USQU2CRB9

March 19, 2018
Android O (Oreo) Software update
Various bug fixes and software improvements

Please help. I enjoy the game, but the input issues has made it unplayable, esp when one tiny mistake means certain death in the end game content.

Hopefully not the update because my Galaxy Note 8 should receive the same update later this month, and basically every new Android phone this year will run Oreo as well, and most from last year will be updated to Oreo.

Well I can't explain it any other way other than the android update. That was the only thing that changed with my phone from the morning to the afternoon and the difference is absolutely shocking. I have abandoned using Quake and to a certain extend Archangel because I cannot parry into a heavy consistently anymore :(

Hey man, try adjusting the game graphics setting for frame rate. Every time there's an update to the game I have to go back into the settings and adjust frame rate and it plays smoothly again. After an update it defaults to a lower setting. Give that a shot!

Hi roasted ! How did you get to that settings menu ? Never seen that before and never tweaked it in the past but I would like to try it to see if it fixes the issue !

@Archimony @IanMoone89 I have an LG V30 but thought it was an android thing, maybe not? Either way I found it through settings > general > gaming > gaming graphics > mcoc

Thanks @roastedbagel looks like Samsung S8 does not have that setting. We have an app called "Game Tuner" that we can use to reduce the resolution and set FPS to "60" (but the game does not support 60 fps). Still having issues on my end

What about this? Found this on the net

Go to the Device Maintenance section in Settings, tap the button for Performance Mode, and select Game Mode from the available options.
