Basic rank up materials are all messed up.

This is how mismatched this game is now. I have enough MUTANT TIER 4 cats to bring iceman to a rank 4. I don't have enough TIER 1 alpha catalysts, or GOLD to do so. It is so damn hard to get the most basic things in this game now. The rewards do not meet the level up requirements at all. There's a hall of healing right now for free..... why? Because in a couple days we are all about to get SMASHED by the AQ update. Where's the Halls of fortune?!?!?! Why are tier one alphas not on the calandar???? Why do you get the same points in some events for using 4,5, and 6 stars??? Anyone else’s head about to explode here???

I just took a 4* from rank 3 to rank 5, a 4* from rank 4 to rank 5, a 5* from rank 1 to rank 3, another 5* from rank 2 to rank 3 & leveled another 5* rank 1 champ. My gold stash is still at 13 mil+, I have 4 more t4b’s & a couple t1a’s. It’s all a matter of planning, saving & taking your time (it’s a marathon, not a sprint). And yeah, not being in a alliance helps, playing AQ or AW just drains all the fun out of the game.
How are you getting T4CCs without AQ?
As far as the t1cats, you need to do the daily quest. Not evey day, but a few times untill you have a full 15 plus some in the stash. Its not even that hard, I do it pn autoplay on my way to/ from work.after youve saved a few you won't run out because you get them from events.
The problem is that people dont want to do the work.
When starting out you have to play the game a certain way to get those basic materials. New players should rank up during the solo class Advancement events, they will get the T3cc crystal fragments from there. Those help to supplement the stinginess of the daily class quest, they should be opening all of their quest crystals, 4hr crystals and Greater and lesser solo crystals.
Saving for SA with new players only slows their progress. They should be doing AQ and AW daily and fully exploring Acts 1-3.
I’d advise all new players to build a stash of gold, battle chips, and loyalty. At least 7m in gold, 500k Battle chips and 500k loyalty. Never go below those numbers until you are doing Map 5 and 6.

I agree with the OP.. T1 Alphas is always something I'm fishing for.. And gone as soon as I get them.. Thankfully Gold is something I haven't had an issue with arena can be boring and repetitive but gives plenty of gold so worth doing from time to time..
Monthly eq’s. Master mode has t4c shard crystals which add up after time. Uncollected difficulty has those as well + a fully formed 1. Recently there have been a couple of (fun & interesting) challenges which had some nice rewards. Easy path in LOL. 100% act 5. Uncollected daily crystals, which after a while also add up.
I’m done ranking any1 up now for a month or so, will collect crystals, cats & so on till I have enough materials to rank up a champ I’d like to use or any new champ I may get.
Resources not an issue if you’re not ranking anyone and have completed virtually all content. Plus the point is about the imbalance of resources for ranking champs now.
I’ve been ranking champs up on a regular basis, every new 4* goes to rank 3, every new 3* goes to max rank. Most of the time they’re nothing but new arena fodder & fun additions to my collection, like most new 5* champs who won’t go beyond rank 2.
Before 5* champs were introduced the ultimate goal was to get 4* champs to rank 5, which was almost impossible for regular/average players (it took over 2 years for me to take my 1st 4*to rank 5) it took planning, patience & yes also luck. Why would that be different for 5* champs, you can’t expect to take every new 5* champ straight to rank 3 (or 4).
It’s not the 1st time t1a’s are a rare resource ingame, but there are more ways to get them now than when they were rare before.
Just plan, have patience, prioritize & while you’re at it, try to have some fun.
I've been playing for 2.5 years also, and people (especially Kabam) need to remember that 5* were the PINNACLE of the game at one point. Back when Act 4 was "Coming Soon" and T2 Alphas didn't exist, with their rarity it made sense a 5* Champ required x5 T1Alphas at each Rank. AND, since there were NO Expiration Dates/Caps on Items back then...
When Kabam decided to cap and expire items, (because somehow the hoarding of items was hurting Kabam's bottom line), 5* Champs were still ultra-rare and T2 Alpha Cats didn't exist. T1Alphas were capped at 8 (!), and began expiring. Many players (like me) were forced to sell DOZENS of expiring T1As for a measly 8k Gold.
More importantly, they were (and still mostly are) really only available as Alliance Reward (Events, AQ, Glory, etc). Compare that with EVERY OTHER Basic resource (T1, T2, T3, even T4 Basics) used for ranking up that you could GRIND for (using Daily Quests).
So, in December 2017, when Kabam (inevitably) raised the game to the 5* Standard, with 6* being the "Chase Item," they should have -- but never did -- adjust:
1. the resources rank up 5* (at least on Ranks 2>)
2. the 8 (!) item Cap for T1 Alphas (can't even do two ranks at once?!)
3. the Availability of them (add it to the Uncollected Crystal, 5 & 6* Arenas, Expert Proving Ground, or 22H Solo Events)
When 4* 5/50 and 5* began growing (the Prestige Race of '17), Kabam adjusted by creating the Expert Daily Proving Ground, so you could farm T4Bs which are arguably less necessary. So, I'm not saying they need to litter the floor with them, but YES... The Basic Resources for 5* growth are out-of-whack.
Also, If I'm still playing when 7* are released... Someone please smash my iPad
What is the reason for having 500k Battle chips? I always turn those into arena crystals. Am I doing something wrong?
