AQ Starts again today: Radio Silence From Kabam?

SammyJankisSammyJankis Member Posts: 110
Like many here, I have voiced frustrations toward Kabam and their admins not acknowledging that the new Symboids made AQ more difficult. In addition, the rewards needed to be increased along with removing the Third Special Energy bar from Sentinels and possibly UnAwakening them to help the situation.

Many of us, myself included, has posted in the "official merged thread" located here but besides promising they are "looking into data from previous AQ (that finished)", notuing.

You have upset a good portion of your player base (CUSTOMERS), and you can tell by all the Alliance recruitment threads that this has negatively affected almost the majority of Alliances. We had 8 people leave ourselves!

Why the radio Silence? Why not either revert back to the way things were pre-Sentineloids (dumb name) or reply to the multiple people that suggested claims to let us know, well, SOMETHING?!

The players (your customers) continue to voice our concern and they seem to fall on deaf ears and get fed the generic company go-to line "we are reviewing blah blah blah".

How about some real answers and real fixes for a change? How about actually keeping your customers happy?

Or do you just want us to spend 60K in Units for 20x Generic 5 Star Sig Stones instead of fixing your issues and addressing your customer complaints/concerns?

How about don't play AQ if it's too hard or don't do EQ if it's too much energy? You have a choice. Play or Don't play. Up to you. For as many posts against the sentinels there are also posts stating they are easily countered. Just because some people don't want to take a little bit of time to adjust to new changes/content doesn't mean Kabam has to bend to your will.

How about people can expresses their opinions on the current state of the game and if you don't like it, you can ignore it? Of course there is a choice. Most of the time, I agree with what you have stated. Ultimately, Kabam does not "owe" its customer base anything. I enjoy changes to the game and didn't mind the Sentinels at all.

Changes to the game are driven by the market. After all, Kabam's ultimate obligations as a company are to its equity holders, not its player base. I don't think the recent changes will affect Kabam's bottom line in a significant enough manner to lead to any change. As long as the game remains successful, there is no incentive to "fix" (whether anything actually needs fixing) the game.

I'd say get used to the silence, or play map 6 it's much easier then map 5.

If you aren't going to do AQ and EQ, then you may as well stop playing. That's what people are doing now.

Everyone and Anyone can express their opinion. That's the beauty of the forum. I respond because people like the OP expect changes and answers immediately. This a game related forum run by MODs who have nothing to do with the game itself. They expect an answer for everything when the forum MOD's only relay info from the Dev teams. If they aren't responding, mostly likely they don't have any info to say. Plus, imagine with all the posts done here daily they have to ACTUALLY moderate because people think this is where all problems are solved. It's not like they are just sitting back watching the world burn. They are tagged on 75% of the posts made and they have to wade through all that. It's unrealistic for them to get to everything they are tagged in daily.
As far as AQ changes go, I've stated over and over again that they just take some learning. Once I had a few runs at them, they have become no harder than what they replaced. Heck I had a harder time with Groot on day 5 than the sentinels. Most of these posts come from laziness and the mindset of disliking change. You get used to something and then it changes. Some people adapt quickly, others flood forums with posts about the changes. Take a step back in re-evaluate the situation. Ask "is there another way to do this?" "What haven't I tried yet?". Most of the complaints were made before the update AQ was even released. No one even gave it a chance even though the exact Sentineliods were in the EQ right before but no one was complaining about those and they were way more buffed.

I'm on board with all of this. Apologies for the snark.

No need to apologize. What's the point in conversing if you aren't allowed to express yourself?

I totally understand the frustration with AQ difficulty going up with no increase in rewards. At the same time, history shows that you're better off focusing on the things you can control to help alleviate issues caused by the changes and not worrying so much about a quick fix from Kabam, who we have no control over. The environment changed, for better or worse. We have to change with it. If you're losing members because the Sentinels made AQ too difficult, it's not much different than people complaining about losing wars to Diversity. You have to adapt or perish.

I personally don't have any problem with the sentinel changes, but the impact on the community is unavoidable.

My alliance had 6 members retire after our worst AQ in months, and by the state of the recruitment threads, I'd say we aren't the only alliance either.

Just curious but what was their approach to fighting the Sentinels if that was the reason for retirement?

Not entirely sure. They didn't say specifically why they were retiring. I do know that poor performances in AQ and AW tend to wear on people.

There is not going to be be a fix. There collecting there ‘raw data’ cause i’m not sure what other data there is to collect besides seeing potions sales, how many people die and revive, how many people die and revive at a certain champ. They don’t really care how many people are upset or quit playing cause for every one person who quits another two signs up to play. For a new player who is just joining the contest has a higher chance of spending on the game then a player who has been here 3 years+ been through the ringer seen champs get nurfed and seen bugs go by for a year+ now with no fix. Or being told that there device is told old when it was bough less then a year ago.

The issue with the Sentinels is that, even if you play them properly, it still takes longer to get through my lanes now than it did before. I'm rushing to get my lane done first thing in the morning since people are waiting on nodes to go down, and now I need to set more time aside just for the exact same rewards due to their indifference about adding longevity to AQ with no incentive.

Seems like nothing is being done, which is fine.

People expecting a super rewards bump for a 7k PI sentinel with about 20k health 😂

Kabam would of seen you all completing last months event quest on master and uncollected which has much harder sentinels, so stop the complaining about them.

Who are you using against them? What is your play style when you are fighting them? My average hit count is 20 from day 1 to 30-35 on day 5 depending on who I use.
