jailbreak iphone permissible? bare-bones game version?

I am debating Jail-breaking my iPhone to tamper with my phone settings. The lag is terrible lately. Would overclocking my phone be a decent workaround? Could a jailbreak on my iPhone get me banned?
Kabam may fix the lag issues, they may not. Newer phones don't have the same issue or not as bad.
Currently i have to restart the game after 5-10 fights. So 3 arena matches and the game is unplayable.
Could Kabam possibly release a bare bones version of the game? the background and effects are nice but make the game unplayable at times. Character animations are also nice, but make the game unplayable at times.
In event quests i have to auto-fight since the game is severely delayed when i input commands but only half as bad when using auto-fight.
Will jail-breaking get me banned? would it even help?
Will we ever get a basic version for those of us using an outdated device?
Just a boring grid background might help.
iPhone 6plus btw.
