Hit after pausing? When unpausing, a countdown to action

After having to pause to do something, you cant block fast enough. I always get whacked if the pause was at the wrong time. I suggest a 2 or 3 second countdown to action starting when you unpause.

You'd still get whacked as soon as the countdown ended. Unless you can activate block or evade during the countdown, but then it would just be a pause pressing fest to avoid talking damage.

You should try to only pause after you do a special or heavy attack. If it's that they pause can't wait, I'm sure the hot you take in game is far less important than why you have to pause.

Exactly right. The countdown would be precisely to allow you to hold a block or swipe. Without that, a countdown is useless.
