How does matchmaking work. It never seems fair!!

Kabam. How is matchmaking sorted because for the last few of our ears we have been against much higher rated alliances then us. For example this round we are against a 10 mil alliance and we are only 5 mil. How is this fair please sort it out because it isn't fun and our alliance is getting fed up of this. Sort it out please.

    War matchmaking far as I can see is done by war rating. Higher alliance rating usually reflects that there maybe people in alliance that are more collectors of champs, arena grinding for 3*, 4*s even 5* max sig abilities of champs etc etc doesnt necessarily mean that they are more focused on war and war rating reflects that.
    Higher war rating being matched with similar war rating could mean higher likely chance of alliance being matched with another alliance who is on same level/skill/ready to use resources etc.
    So focus is on war rating nothing to do with alliance rating which makes more sense.

    Yh I guess. But all there defenders are either max 5 stars or near maxed 5 stars. Also higher tier alliances seem to be purposely dropping down to make aw season's easier to get higher points. Therefore they have dropped down and are abusing this. Making it unfair on us.

    Not sure about the whole alliance season thing as I haven’t looked into it.. but if that’s a possibility to do that then I’m sure some alliances would/could exploit that.

    ..but seems a bit long winded way to do that lose wars consecutively to get back up on purpose to get higher in war season..? I Dunno..

    Yeah high tier alliances are dropping to shell alliances during the off season just to destroy people with little effort.

    We’re matched against one that even admitted in war room that they’re actually master 3 (we are around gold 1) and we also have insider info that the entire group is piloted, so we All just brought in meme champs because you can’t beat that at all.

    It’s foolish for them to drop War rating because higher war rating means better multipliers. If a top tier ally dropped to 1500 War rating, their multiplier would be nowhere near the x8 multiplier they would have if they stayed at the top
