What happens when i upgrade a champion locked in a quest?

JUst wanted to know.. the champions stats for the quest stays the same.. but the champion is upgraded otherwise..

    In AW they will stay the same, because they are locked in. All the other quests, your champs with actually increase.

    Nothing bad will happen, it should just make a green border around the champion that was changed and it'll update it. The only instance where it won't update it is if they're locked in AW.
